The U15 Division 4 meeting between the Rouse Hill Rams and North Rocks was a perfect reminder of why every game deserves to be played before the result is written. On paper it may have looked like a difficult assignment, but by full time the Rams had produced one of their most determined performances of the season.
North Rocks made an imposing start, dominating possession through the opening stages and spending long periods camped inside the Rams’ defensive third. Their pressure paid off with two early goals, and for much of the first half it looked as though they had control of both the scoreboard and the momentum.
Rather than allowing the game to drift away, the Rams gradually worked themselves back into the contest. A well-timed breakaway attack gave them the spark they needed before a second goal not long before half time brought the scores level. The shift in momentum was noticeable, with confidence growing as the Rams began matching North Rocks physically and finding more opportunities to attack.
